|  | RDG is currently working with Oregon Trout, U.S. Forest Service, and other stakeholders to restore sidechannel and mainstem habitat on the Salmon River, a primary tributary to the Sandy River. Historical channel modifications for flood protection following the 1964 flood disconnected the channel from the floodplain and simplified habitat. RDG designed and implemented habitat enhancement projects on three sidechannels in 2008, and is currently completing a restoration feasibility assessment for over 10 miles of the Salmon River.
