An instream check structure was a channel obstruction and affected channel stability.
| | RDG worked with a landowner and was contracted by U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to remove an instream diversion structure. The structure no longer functioned and was affecting channel stability. The structure was removed and the historical channel alignment was reconstructed. A backwater habitat area is now located in the former structure site. Juniper were placed for habitat and containerized willows were planted throughout the project area. Fencing was also completed to exclude livestock from the area.
