| | RDG assisted CSKT with preparing the Jocko River Master Plan to guide restoration planning in the lower 22 miles of the Jocko River watershed. RDG has significantly contributed to the production of the restoration guidance document. Completion of the document is expected by May 2004. The initial restoration project designed to restore the Jocko River’s plan form, channel dimensions, aquatic habitat, riparian functions, and river-floodplain connectivity will commence during the 2004 in-stream work window. Key RDG contributions to the Jocko River Master Plan include: - Geomorphic evaluation of the main stem Jocko River and tributary spring creeks
- Time series aerial photograph analysis for departure analysis and conceptual design dimensions
- Reference reach surveys for departure analysis
- Land use evaluation
- Channel succession analysis
- Development of a restoration “tool box” that includes a comprehensive list of active and passive restoration treatments
- Restoration prescriptions designed to improve fish habitat, channel function, and channel-floodplain connectivity for the lower 22 miles of the Jocko River
- Report writing and editing
