O\'Dell Creek existing condition.
| | O’Dell Creek, a spring-fed tributary to the Madison River, was straightened and ditched in the early 1900s to improve agricultural efficiency. Channel modifications led to channel incision and wetland draining. RDG has worked with the landowner, FWS, MFWP, and supporting consultants to complete a multi-phase restoration project. Project construction in 2007 and 2008 resulted in nearly 4 miles of new channel and over 28 acres of wetlands. Construction slated for 2009 will include an additional 2 miles of channel and further wetland development.
